In 2009, the BBC launched a Persian TV channel geared towards the 100 million Farsi speakers in Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Editor Sadeq Saba joins us to discuss the challenges of trying to connect with such a diverse audience. And, the new documentary film ‘Tony and Janina’s American Wedding’ tells the story of the Wasilewski family. They met and married in Chicago after fleeing communist Poland in the late 1980s. But after 18 years in the U.S., Janina was deported in 2007. Tony Wasilewski and director Ruth Leitman tell us about the film.
