It’s been two months since the body of an Illinois State University graduate student was found in the Illinois River in downstate Peru.
Police say 25-year-old Jelani Day drowned.
His family and supporters say he was murdered. They say his case, like that of many Black Americans, hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves.
