The family of a teen at the center of a violent arrest in southwest suburban Oak Lawn is suing the police department and village. A video widely shared on social media shows police officers repeatedly punching the 17-year-old’s head while pinning him down. Police say Hadi Abuatelah was not complying with verbal commands and was reaching for a gun in his bag.
