Cook County Board President John Stroger’s family is speaking about his health for the first time in weeks. Stroger hasn’t taken up his seat as president since he had a stroke three months ago.

John Stroger’s son, Chicago Alderman Todd Stroger, repeated his claim yesterday that a formal announcement of his father’s health will come in July.

“I’m not making any more comments. There’s nothing new to say now. I think everyone knows when July comes, don’t they,” he asked.

Todd Stroger dodged questions about whether his father is currently hospitalized. He said if he did know, he wouldn’t tell.
