Beginning in 1955 and ultimately ending in 2011, the Daleys will have governed Chicago for a total of 43 years. They have been an integral part of Chicago’s history, culture, and identity. So where, and how, will the city go from here?

Join moderator Laura Washington and a panel of experts, including Paul Green, director of the School of Policy Studies at Roosevelt University, former politician Dawn Clark Netsch, professor emeritus at the Northwestern University School of Law, and a student from Mikva Challenge, an organization engaged in the development of civic leadership in underserved Chicago high school youth, for a mayoral discussion that will examine the past Daley era, talk about the current needs of the city, and look at the potential candidates.
