Lisa Daniels’ son Darren was killed in 2012. He was 25 years old, a father of two children. Four years after that, Lisa visited StoryCorps Chicago with her friend to talk about her son’s story. In 2021, Lisa again revisited the story and explained how she has worked to redefine Darren’s legacy.
