Chicago-based jazz drummer Makaya McCraven’s upcoming album, In These Times, is a project that’s been churning in the background for seven years. During that time, he put out a string of critically-acclaimed albums like In The Moment and Deciphering the Message. His new record is set for release Sept. 23.
McCraven spoke with Reset ahead of his show at the Salt Shed this week.
