Help Us Re-Imagine How Chicago Invests In Communities

WBEZ brings you fact-based news and information. Sign up for our newsletters to stay up to date on the stories that matter.

Editor’s Note: This project is in collaboration with the University of Chicago’s Center for Effective Government at the Harris School of Public Policy.

From a global pandemic, to a racial reckoning, to a historic and contentious election — the events of the past year have reshaped our society. Over the next few months, WBEZ’s Reset will re-imagine how the nation’s third-largest city could function better for all its residents.

We’re investigating how city government, investment, public safety and schools work — or don’t work — in Chicago, looking for solutions for how to improve those systems. And we want to hear your ideas, experiences and questions.

Starting May 10, we’ll take four weeks to evaluate how the city invests in communities, what we can learn from other cities and what changes could enhance quality of life. (Listen to the previous series on city government.)

What investments would you like to see in your neighborhood? Tell us in one of two ways:

  1. 📧 Record a voice memo answering the question: “What investments would you like to see in your neighborhood?” Then send it to us using this form.

  2. 📞 Leave a voicemail answering the same question at 888-915-9945.

Your answer could end up on the show, and a Reset producer may follow up with you. Questions? Email reset@wbez.org.
