The 45th annual Chicago Pride Parade was held yesterday with nearly a million people in attendance. The parade kicked off near Montrose and Broadway, and continued down through the heart of Boystown on Halstead. Parade goers were warned there would be a heightened police presence and anyone caught illegally drinking could be fined one thousand dollars. But there were only 8 arrests, despite the police presence and chaotic scene. The streets were littered with debris and broken glass and attendees stumbled should-to-shoulder through crowds numbering in the thousands.
