In the weeks before Tuesday’s midterms, researchers from the University of Chicago interviewed a diverse cross section of more than 2,000 potential Gen Z and millennial voters ages 18 to 40 to learn their views on politics and the election.

Reset digs into that data to understand what motivated young people to vote in numbers high enough to impact the outcome of races across the country.
