Chicago’s camera rebate program officially launches

Chicago residents can now apply for up to $1,020 in rebates through the city’s Home and Business Protection Program to purchase security cameras, lights, a GPS tracker and more. City officials say this program will allow residents and business owners to feel safer, but critics are concerned about increased surveillance and potential misuse of video footage.
