The Chicago City Council have reached a compromise on the ward remap, calling for 14 Latino-majority wards — one fewer than the Latino caucus asked for. This means voters won’t have to cast their ballot on this issue next month, but the deal still has to be confirmed in a City Council vote next week.

Reset gets the latest on the plan.
