Stacey Brownlee joined Chicago Public Media in 2022 and serves as Prospect Research Manager on the Development team, where she develops new prospect pools and conducts quality research on individual, foundation, and corporate prospects to support CPM’s fundraising objectives. She has more than 10 years of development experience, most recently at Start Early, a nonprofit focused on early childhood education policy and practice. Stacey started her career as a high school teacher in Phoenix, AZ. From there her participation in a Sister Cities teacher exchange program led her to Himeji, Japan, where she and her young family spent four formative years.
Stacey completed her undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Iowa. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Stacey’s first fundraiser was a Bozo bucket game. (She was six.)
